Flagging An Item For Deletion

Select IM13 from Winsols main menu.

In theIM13, Maintain Inventory Master window, enter the product code # that is to be deleted in the Product Code field, <tab> The description and all other fields that have been previously set up will populate.

In the second description field of the Desc Main Lang enter the reason why the item is being deleted in capital letters, as noted below: MNFDISC if the item is being discontinued by the manufacturer or ABCCDISC if the item is being discontinued by AmerisourceBergen Canada Select the tab A UDF. Click on the down arrow under the PS status field. Select DEL for ABCCDISC (AmerisourceBergen delisted) or DSC for MNFDISC (manufacturer discontinued).

Select the minus sign button from the top row of the item information. A new window will open asking for the reason for deletion. Type in the reason again (as above) or copy it from the extended description field when you first typed it.

Click on ok, in the Reason for Deletion window. The system will update and the product information will refresh to a blank screen.

Enter the item # again that you changed to be flagged for deletion and <tab>. You will see that a notation in red type shows as Record flagged for deletion and the class field will be changed to X. See following sample.
