Hone during the past two years while she has served as a student at Cape Fear Community College. Katherine has shown the ability to establish an excellent rapport with many different constituents including students, faculty, administrators, and staff. Katherine is genuinely interested in helping others and provides service in a consistently positive and helpful manner. Katherine is self-assured and calmly handles the stress associated with the busy times in the many activities she undertakes. Katherine is a careful and creative thinker with an eye for details and a devotion to logic, which served her well in the math class that we took together. She has the terrific ability to draw on her own experience and observations to develop thoughtful opinions on a variety of issues. Katherine already knew she wanted to major in business when she took this course, but this did not diminish her intellectual curiosity about the topics we covered in introductory algebra. Her regular contributions to full-class discussions provided insight both for her peers and for me. Katherine is exceptionally responsible and volunteers to jump in and help with any task from the mundane to the challenging. She blends a well-organized, task-oriented style with the aforementioned sensitivity to the needs of tasks she dedicates herself to completing. I have rarely met a person on whom I can rely as much as Katherine. Many of the volunteer activities I have witnessed Katherine pursue are related to Cape Fears chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. Her hard work, dedication, and passion earned her two awards as the Most Distinguished Member. She earned this award on a regional level and international level. This was truly an accomplishment since there are around 2,000,000 members throughout Phi Theta Kappa international. Katherine is an intelligent, capable, and personable woman. She is always quick on her feet, with sensible reactions in all the circumstances I have seen presented to her. I feel confident in saying that she is capable of handling any situation with thoughtfulness and maturity. As you can tell, I think very highly of this woman and recommend Katherine without reservations for employment or any other endeavors she chooses to pursue. I give Katherine my highest recommendation as an extremely bright student with an extraordinarily positive attitude toward work. I am confident that any surprises with Katherine will be pleasant ones since she will perform better on the job than anyone could ever imagine, do to her extraordinary drive and dedication.
