Strawberry Sachets

This is the basic pattern. I used a medium weight cotton that I had in my stash (label is long gone) and size 7 needles, plus double pointed (2). You can adjust the pattern to fit what you have in your stash, I am sure!

CO 10 stitches Row 1: k 10 Row 2: p 10 Row 3: increase every other stitch, 15 stitches Row 4: p 15 Row 5: increase every other stitch, 23 stitches Row 6: p 23 Row 7: starting with the first stitch, every fifth stitch, knit with green Row 8: purl across row, using green yarn on green stitches as above, AND every stitch next to a green stitch Row 9: knit across row, all in green Row 10: p2tog every stitch Row 11: k2tog every stitch

Continue decreasing until 2 or 3 stitches remain. Knit I-cord for two rows, then bind off.

Stuff strawberry with packets of moth-away or cedar balls, and sew up seam using red tails for the fruit area, and green tails for the stem.
