WRITING ASSIGNMENT WRITING AN E-MAIL

For your first writing you will write an e-mail.

Before you start writing your e-mail take into account the following aspects:
A. Your e-mail MUST have 5 paragraphs. That is 1 paragraph for the introduction, 3 paragraphs for the body and 1 paragraph for the conclusion. B. Each paragraph MUST have 5 sentences. (At your level, it is required that you show fluency in your writing. Make an effort). C. Write in Times New Roman size 12 and please DOUBLE SPACE your work.

For your first writing exercise, you will address an e-mail to a specific audience in order to fulfill ONE of the situations below. * To complain about an article you bought (e.g a cellphone, a plasma TV ) that does not work. You will demand a full refund. The recipient of your e-mail is Erick Williams, the Sales Representative in this company. To apologize to an international guest who was offended unintentionally by you in one company event you hosted. (e. g. you made a hand gesture that means something bad in the guests culture). The recipient of your e-mail is Craig Ferguson a scottish citizen to whom you gave the V sign with the back of the hand facing outwards. To offer your services in your area of expertise to a possible client (e.g. if you are an accountant, then you will tell on your experiences and assets). The recipient of your e-mail is a wealthy investor interested in your professional services. The recipient of your email is Emily Gates, international entrepeneur with experience in placing professionals in successful companies.

The final product of your writing must include: (Staple all of these papers together before coming to class) 1. A sheet with the brainstorming of ideas and first paragraph for the topic in your own handwriting and done in class. 2. Your first draft typed 3. The Peer Editing Form completed by your classmate. 4. The final version with the corrections your classmate made included.
