2013 Life Experience When I was a junior in high school I learned how to roll my car. What I did not learn was how to do it without totaling my car and breaking my arm. The day before my failed attempt I found an alternative route to my track practice. It was a straightway path with huge curve in the middle. I was driving at least 45 mph and was able to handle the curve because I braked very quickly before it. The next day when I was heading to track practice I had with me four teammates who I agreed to bring to practice. When I left for track practice I took the alternative route and this time I went even faster at the curve. When I tried to slow down to turn my car left, my car decided that it wanted to go right and it began to roll. While I was rolling in the air my arm flew out the car, hit the cement road and broke while my car continued to destroy itself. Luckily we landed upright and were able to easily get out the car. I immediately fell to the ground while my left arm dissolved into jelly. Within minutes I was surrounded by people I didnt know who were asking me questions I didnt feel like answering due to the nagging pain of my left arm. All of my teammates were fine, but I was immediately brought to the hospital when I was greeted by my parents. My mom checked to see if I was faking my injury by moving my broken arm. In response I screamed very loudly, but luckily good ole morphine took away all the pain. The next day I had surgery on my arm and I got a cast and terrible pain for the next three months, I still get reminders of the event whenever I twist my left arm in an awkward way I feel a great deal of pain. Through all of this what I believe I have learned from this period in my life is that speed limits exist for a reason. So in conclusion I ask that you all be aware while driving because even though fun to drive fast, whats not fun is be driven to school by your mom your entire senior year because you broke your car.
