FAQ for post-election 1. Will the Registry continue now that Amendment 64 was passed? Yes.

Amendment 64 does not impact Article 18 of the Constitution which established the Medical Marijuana Registry. Amendment 64, when implemented, addresses the recreational use of marijuana. The Registry administers a confidential database of patients who use medical marijuana. 2. Why would anyone want to get a medical marijuana card now that Amendment 64 has passed? Registration cards are for patients who are using marijuana to help with the symptoms of debilitating illnesses. Having a registration card allows patients to have up to 2 ounces of marijuana, rather than the 1 ounce allowed under Amendment 64. 3. Will Amendment 64 impact the volume of work for the Registry? Until the amendment is fully implemented as law, it is unknown how the Registrys patient workload will be impacted. For now, the Registry continues to process applications as usual. 4. Since I will soon have legal access to marijuana, can I cancel my application? No. Once an application is submitted, it must be fully processed. 5. Will Amendment 64 mean that everyone can purchase from dispensaries? The Department of Revenue is responsible for administering the rules and regulations of marijuana growth and purchase. Details for the purchase and growth regulations of recreational use are still being developed.
