Agenda for the open meeting of Digbeth Residents Association (DRA) and Neighbourhood Watch Monday 10th December

2012 at 6pm in the Old Crown restaurant.

1. Roll call and apologies 2. The history and future of Birminghams Wholesale Market Jo-Ann Curtis, Curator of History at the Birmingham Museum Jo will give a brief overview of the history of the wholesale market and its place in Birmingham and now Digbeth. Keith Simpson, Birmingham Wholesale Fresh Produce Association (BWFPA) Keith will cover: - The current economic impact of the Birmingham Wholesale Market (BWM) and a little about the BWFPA and its membership; - The vital interrelationship between the Birmingham Wholesale Market and the three retail markets, and the wider cultural and social significance of the BWM including employment impacts; - The history of the relationship between the Landlords of the BWM (Birmingham City Council) and the traders and the potential threat to the future of the BWM; - The potential solution for the future of the BWM enabling it to remain at its current location. 3. First Annual DRA Community Awards 4. Date and time of next committee meeting Monday 14th January 2013 at 6pm in the Old Crown restaurant, High Street Digbeth. Date and time of next open meeting Monday 11th February 2013 at 6pm in the Old Crown restaurant, High Street Digbeth.

Please note this meeting will be followed by the DRA Christmas party.
