TRAVELING IN EGYPT Good Afternoon, welcome to Egypt.

Please get comfortable, prepare your cameras, and now begin our tour of the beautiful and enigmatic Egypt. Egypt is an Arab Republic with more sixty-six million people. The official language is Arabic, but also the tourist areas speak other languages such as English, French and Spanish. We are entering the city of Giza. The pyramids of Giza are the most famous of Egypt, have earned their reputation for being the greatest of all. The three pyramids are: Keops, kefren and Micerino. The pyramid of Keops is the largest of the Egyptian pyramids, which served as a tomb for Pharaoh Khufu or Keops. I get to measure four hundred seventy-nine feet. Is estimated to be completed in the year tow thousand five hundred seventy BC, and was the tallest building in the world until the nineteenth century. The pyramid of Kefren was considered the highest for being in a higher plane than that of Keops, but in reality is nine feet smaller. It has a simpler structure than the Great Pyramid. And the Pyramid of Micerino, is attributed its construction to Menkaure (or Mycerinus), pharaoh of Dynasty IV. It was known in ancient times as "The Divine Pyramid" and has three satellite pyramids of queens. If you look to your left side will see the Sphinx Giza. Egyptologists believe it was carved in the twenty six century BC. The locals called it Abu el Hol which means Father of Terror. Sphinx has approximate dimensions of: one hundred eightyseven feet long and sixty-five feet high. We are now in the town of Karnak, we visit the various temples here. For centuries, this place was the most influential Egyptian religious center. The Karnak tmeple complex it: The enclosure of Amon Ra The enclosure of Montu The enclosure of Mut The temple of Jonsu The temple of Opet The temple Ptah About thirty pharaohs contributed their buildings making the complex a set, whose size (thirty acres), had not ever known. The entrance, between of pillars, is preceded by avenue of sphinxes or Way of God. Access to a large courtyard on the left: a temple of Pharaoh Seti II, one of the columns Taharqo, and the monumental statue of Pinedyem I, on the right see the temple of Ramses III, in front, the hypostyle hall, and a little deeper, the obelisks of Thutmose I and

Hatshepsut, after a series of rooms, with lower courts, and the sanctuary, which had access only the pharaoh and priests. Finally visit the Valley of the Kings, and here were built tombs for the kings and nobles, for about five hundred years, since the sixteenth century BC to the eleventh BC. The tombs of Egyptian kings are decorated with various scenes from Egyptian mythology and have managed to give evidence of the funerary rituals and beliefs that were at different times. All graves were found open and robbed in antiquity, when they were discovered but still maintained a large number of objects that gave reason for the importance of the rulers of the time. I hope you have taken many photos and have enjoyed the trip, come back soon.
