      INTRODUCTION

      God never ceases to amaze me. And somehow, I suspect that this will be the case for all eternity to come, as God says to believers in His word, Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love Him (1 Cor. 2:9). Even after forty plus years of being a child of God through a new birth by His Holy Spirit into His family, each day with God is like a new day, in that no two days are ever alike. God is continually at work, not just in my life and in the lives of those He has saved, but also in the world we inhabit, for this is HIS creation. After all, human HISTORY is simply HIS…STORY that He has made known to us in His word, the Bible!

      And as part of giving us HIS STORY through human history, God has shared with us the faith that we as human beings have needed from the moment Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, thereby rendering us a sinful human race, since as our first parents, they were but representative of us all. So God started sharing that faith with us as a human race when He declared at Genesis 3:15 His first utterance of good news relating to His eternally-existing Son, when He there said to the serpent in the Garden of Eden (who we later find out at Rev. 12:9 was Satan, the devil), what we now read, And I will put enmity between you (the devil) and the woman and between your seed (unbelievers) and her seed (believers); He (God’s Son to come to earth in the future) shall bruise you on the head, and you shall bruise him on the heel.

      Therefore, what is important for us, as those who personally know God through faith in His Son, The Lord Jesus Christ, is that now that we have this eternal relationship with God, we are to not only go on walking with Him through this life on earth, but to also finish well. In other words, we were saved to serve God while here on earth, but God knows that we are like sheep, so easily led astray from the faith that He has bestowed us with and the path that He has marked out for us!

      So the topics we will be examining in this very important book relate to ensuring that we all remain faithful to God and to the faith that He has once for all time entrusted to believers, especially in days like these, when the foundations that God established are crumbling about us, and evil that was once in the shadows has been brought out in the light for all to see. And so, in this book, we will be looking at questions that relate specifically to Biblical Christianity, which is the faith God established for us as human beings while we are on this earth.

      It should also be noted that there are three sections to the Addendum at the back of the book. Addendum A is a brief outline of the four ages of time; Addendum B is a brief outline of the two separate comings from Heaven to earth of God’s Son, The Lord Jesus Christ, in time; and in Addendum C, we have a gospel presentation for how one may have a personal relationship with God, for any readers who might not yet have this vital relationship.

      What should also be mentioned before closing this Introduction, since we are all somewhat curious by nature, is that after completing 21 years of formal education and then spending almost 28 years working in Project Engineering and Management in the Corporate offices of a couple of large utilities, God called His servant as a non-denominational evangelist in early 1999, and then sent him out over two thousand miles, away from family and friends, to the place of service He assigned, which is where His servant has been and is still serving Him as evangelist, author, and counselor. The author is a widower with three adopted children, all now married with a family of their own.
