    Johann Sebastian Bach (1685 - 1750) war ein deutscher Komponist, Kantor, Hofkapellmeister, Violinist sowie Orgel- und Cembalovirtuose des Barocks. Er gilt weltweit als einer der bekanntesten und bedeutendsten Musiker überhaupt. Insbesondere von Berufsmusikern wird er oft als der größte Komponist der Musikgeschichte angesehen. Seine Werke inspirieren musikschaffende Künstler zu zahllosen Bearbeitungen, so auch die hier vorgelegte Einrichtung von drei Konzertsuiten für Trompete solo. Bach ist ein Musiker und Komponist, der mit seiner Musik die Lebensfreude den Musikern und Zuhörern direkt vermittelt. Obwohl er in seiner Zeit die Möglichkeiten der modernen Trompete noch nicht kannte, zeigen die hier vorgelegten Solosuiten, dass seine Suiten, Sonaten und Partiten auch für moderne Trompeten geeignet sind.
