Descripción
There's a little girl or a little boy within each of us.
We all have a desire, though it may be different from others, to stand up for our country.
In America, there is nothing quite like the family in our lives.
What We Wish is a short collection of poems and essay revolving around subjects such as these: fantasies of a magic world with fairies and mermaid, reality of the world we live in and the American within all of us, the love of our families around us and what they do, or should mean to us. Essays of deep thought, and sight of what is going on around us that nobody takes notice to. Enjoy this first volume in the Upon the Stars series!

This definitely wouldn’t have been possible without the the help of my parents. There are few poems and essays that I have written that my mom hasn’t read herself. Her advice and enthusiasm really helped me find what I needed to finish this. My dad has encouraged me so much to continue writing poetry after my first poem Into the Dark was published last year. I can honestly say they’re the best parents ever!
Lost Girl
My heartbeat rests among fairytales of old
Of crystal oceans and pirate ships
Of fire and dragons
Of laughter and mermaids
Of magic and pixies
I don’t live by much else
Not really
These tales are my principle
I lead my life through all the lessons
Adventures, hard times, enjoyment and enchantment
Others tell me to stop chasing what is purely a dream
They say it’s just a fantasy
That I’ll end up a Lost Girl
And Peter Pan won’t find me
He’ll remain in his shadow
Just like everyone else around me
He’ll stand in the dark laughing at me
