What do you think the biggest myths are that people cling to about surviving a nuclear war?
Joel Cehn: People think nuclear attacks are a death sentence. They’re not. People outside of the blast zone can survive if they take precautions. Sheltering while a radioactive cloud passes overhead works. I visited apartments that stood less than a mile from Chernobyl. Having kept doors and windows closed during the accident meant that no fallout contaminated the apartment.
