"Rebelión en la granja" es un cuento satírico y distópico del escritor inglés George Orwell acerca de un grupo de animales en una granja que expulsan a los humanos y crean un sistema de gobierno propio que acaba convirtiéndose en una tiranía brutal.
Orwell arma una crítica a Stalin a través de la personificación de los animales; por lo tanto es un libro alegórico escrito y publicado durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial con un fuerte carácter cuestionador.
Es considerada una obra maestra y ha sido adaptada al cine dos veces. La revista Time eligió "Rebelión en la granja" como una de las mejores cien obras publicadas entre 1923 y 2005.

George Orwell
George Orwell (1903–1950), the pen name of Eric Arthur Blair, was an English novelist, essayist, and critic. He was born in India and educated at Eton. After service with the Indian Imperial Police in Burma, he returned to Europe to earn his living by writing. An author and journalist, Orwell was one of the most prominent and influential figures in twentieth-century literature. His unique political allegory Animal Farm was published in 1945, and it was this novel, together with the dystopia of 1984 (1949), which brought him worldwide fame.
