      I started this book because in a time of Coronavirus, I am planning our family's Victory Garden. I thought it was going to be about garden advice. Little did I know, especially as a nurse living in 2020, how much I needed to read this story of life and how ones garden can be a place to spend time, and meditation and joy and sorrow. I get very little time to read but I read this book in 3 days and I would read it again and again to refresh my memory of how one person grew her own Victory Garden and manage to continue on through life, through difficult times.
