About this ebook

From Scribd: About the Book

Our minds are more powerful than we realize. It’s why patients recover from surgery faster if they have a hospital room with a good view. It’s why people who have a positive mindset about aging live 7.5 years longer on average than those who don’t.

In The Positive Shift, Dr. Catherine A. Sanderson gives readers the science behind how our mindset influences our psychological and physical health. Chapters include:

  • Mindset Matters
  • Why Zebras Don’t Get Ulcers: Mindset Affects Health
  • Are You Tigger or Eeyore: Personality Matters
  • Change Your Behavior and Your Mindset Will Follow
  • Spend Money Wisely: Take a Trip, See a Play, Go to a Game
  • And more

Dr. Sanderson uses real-world examples and cutting-edge research to inform practical and easy strategies to change your thought patterns and behaviors. Whether you’re already a positive person or you want to become more positive, anyone can learn how to change their mindset to improve their quality of life.

We rarely, if ever, live the life we set out to live. But that doesn’t mean we can’t be happy and healthy. Learn to make the most of the life you have with the proven tips and strategies in The Positive Shift.

It delves into various researches that validate what various life coaches or many of our mentors talked about. Happiness is a choice. It can be achieved with a positive mindset, and with regular practice of looking at things half full.
