In life we dont always get second chances. Some of us go through life never coming into the knowledge of Christ. This book is a real life story about a young teen girl who kept Rolling the Dice and crapping out. Then she finally realized that the way to win in life is with God. A lot of people believe in luck there is no such thing. Faith, and Gods Love is all you need. We have to believe and trust him every day. It is a lifestyle not something short term. This book is for teens, but Im sure adults will gain from it as well. All of us can relate to something in it. You will read about love, hurt, dating, rejection from a parent, having a child as a teenager, and matrimony at an early age. You will find out about courage, self-motivation, achieving goals, and having faith as small as a mustard seed believing that a child after being diagnosed with cancer would survive. You will read testimonies about different people lives, and prayers that they have for teens to encourage them to follow God.

—Philippians 4:13 (KJV)

Life is like gambling. Gambling is to bet on an uncertain outcome. Our youth today seems to be gambling with their life, and the outcome isn’t good. Youth today are turning to drugs and sex instead of wisdom from their parents, Christians, and God’s Word for the answer to problems that life will bring. This book was designed to help our youth make better choices. In life, we all have to make choices, and whether we make good ones or bad, there are always consequences to every choice we make. Based upon the Word of God and life experiences that are shared in this book, I pray that teens will make better choices when making decisions. I feel that one of our main focuses in our communities all over the United States and in other countries should be the upcoming youth, because they are our leaders of tomorrow. If we want a better world, we must give back to them. Can someone join with me and take time out to listen to a teenager’s cry for help? You can make a difference.

First, I would like to thank God, for I couldn’t do anything without him.

My husband, Otis Mounds, thank you for helping me draw closer to God more than you will ever know. I thank God for our twenty-two years of marriage, for without him, we truly wouldn’t have made it. I love you.

Our children, Otis Jr., Myran, Oteria, and Faith Mounds—I love you. (Proverbs 22:6, KJV)

Elijah Grace—thanks! You are forgiven.

Eugene Jones—thank you for taking care of me during my childhood. The only father I have really known. You taught me how to be strong and not to depend on anyone. I learned you have to work for whatever you need and want. Love ya. God bless.

Sharina Gordon and Andrese Joseph—thank you for being there in times of need. May God bless you.

Rotilda Bennett—thanks for everything!

Lester Jones—my little brother, keep God first in all you do. Faith/forgive/future. Love ya.

Vernia and Ronald Johnson—thank you for all your support. You truly have been a blessing.

Maristella Valenti—thank you for your words of wisdom.

Aunt Ernestine Brinson Williams—thank you, and may God bless you always.

Brenda Marsh—thanks for all that you have done over the years. You have been a second mother to me.

Dr. Mack King Carter—thanks. Your sermons—they kept me on track. You were a gift from God. A great teacher. Miss you.

Pastor Marcus D. Davidson and family—thanks for coming to New Mount Olive Baptist Church. You were sent by God, and I’m thankful.

Minister Eddie Robinson—thanks. I truly enjoyed singing for the Music Ministry at New Mount Olive Baptist Church. You are awesome.

Gerri Butler—thank you for my very first job while I was in high school.

Van Cabbil—thank you for all your help, support, and encouragement while I was in high school and after having my first child.

David Roundtree—thank you for all your help and encouragement.

James Etta Warner—thank you for my second job and all your words of wisdom.
