About this ebook

Three unabridged novels of Australian forensic investigator Dr Kristina Melina - First Kill, Second Cut, and Third Victim. First Kill won a Tom Howard Best Mystery Honorable Mention.

FIRST KILL: Dr Kristina Melina is a forensic consultant for the VFSC. On a hot night she finds herself at a crime scene where a man has been decapitated and his wife almost beaten to death. Clues indicate that the assault is the work of Walter Dunn, a close friend of the couple. But as Dr Melina and her partner Frank Moore track down the killer, someone gets to him before they do, and they now have a double homicide on their hands. Caught in a strange triangle between those left behind and those who are forced to move on, Dr Melina finds her life turned upside down as she relentlessly tracks down the real murderer before she becomes the next victim.

SECOND CUT:In this follow-up to 'First Kill' (Tom Howard Honourable Mention for Best Mystery), Dr Kristina Melina is assigned to a case where a young girl has been killed and her body dumped by the side of well-know city lake. Back with her partner, Frank Moore, she tracks back the killing to the most unlikely suspect -- in a cat-and-mouse game, she must get to him before he gets to her.

THIRD VICTIM: Crime-scene contractor Dr Kristina Melina is called to the homicide of a prostitute. The victim is her best friend from high school - the investigation becomes personal. She tries to track down the murder...before the murderer finds her. In a deadly game of cat-and-mouse, she gets too close to the truth and comes face-to-face with the killer for a final showdown.
