For Jillian Elizabeth Talbot;
Thank you for the time, friendship, Love, and guidance we shared, as it will always resonate within me.
And a special thanks to Alyssa Latimer, David Rosenblit,
Jose Morales, and my sister Jacqueline Viera,
- You always believed in my writing, and didn’t allow me to give up on my gift.
And to Heather Ozmun, for you have cradled my aspirations, and allowed them to flourish within a warm Love,
Which has enabled me to Live my dreams each and every day.
Author’s Note
The book you’re about to read is an insight on the great Loves I was so fortunate to have in my life, I hold nothing back, from joy, to pain, to anger, to debauchery. I hope you thoroughly enjoy my writings, and hope that in some way it can shed light on your own life, and Love. For Love is everything, it is why we Are. So when you Love hold nothing back, and regret nothing; for its how I’ve lived so blessed, at times in pain, but mostly in immense joy, knowing that I am, and have Loved, Profoundly.
So to everyone mentioned in this book, or in any of my earlier writings, I’d like to say thank you. And, whether we spent a day, five weeks, or years together as Lovers or friends, I truly Love you, and will continue to do so until my lips draw last breath, because it is for Love that I continue to Live, and Strive for greatness.
ANTHOLOGY IV:
The Eternal Fires Of Lust And Loss
The Poems in this Anthology were written between 08/30/2007, and 02/17/2011.
A Meal For Three
My stomach turns at the sight of his hand on your face,
Then again as he brushes away your hair.
You look over at me, with hopes I didn’t see,
So does it shame you now to think you may have hurt me?
But I understand, for I let this be,
When I handed the shattered pieces of my heart to thee;
Which you gripped so innocently, with youthful passion and hope,
And this time I’m the silly bloke
- who went along cluelessly.
But then again, so did he,
For he holds you now, so Lovingly;
Unaware that you tasted of me so recently.
As I lick my lips, I brush away remnants of your body,
And relive last night - when you held me ever tight.
I’m disrupted by his laugh as you pull away from his grasp,
And make your way towards me;
But I pull away suddenly,
For I imagine him inside of you, a tale I now know to be true.
As I walk away I see your sadness grow,
A side you hate to let show.
And though it pains me that we’ll soon grow apart,
I’m done with these foolish games of the heart.
- For the one I call Muse
A Song For Isolde
Her heart beats a new song for him,
And my song comes to an end.
But all too often I see her face on yours,
And Imagine her lips on mine;
As I count down these slow hours,
Which tick away tormenting time.
I seem to find peace in your arms,
As her image becomes harder to store;
I think my mind blurs her away purposely,
In order to save me from the impending pain brought upon by her memory;
So I feel away her caress, as I’m awoken by yours.
But still I fear the day that she’ll come walking back through my door,
Because I know my song for her will play until our hearts’ beat - bitter end.
Harmony.
And if that day should come, and all our Love is redone,
Will my beauty return with ‘us’?
Or will it remain as it was; simply dust?
- Inspired partly by the writing of Alyssa Latimer
- For the one I call Muse
An Eerie Bliss
Green eyes above me, and I’m going through hell;
I wish I knew the words to say these things I need to tell.
My heart stopped for a moment today,
And that’s not a euphemism or exaggeration of truth,
It’s merely what happened when my eyes caught a glimpse of you.
My lungs struggled to find air,
but without the beating of my heart, they found none;
While my mind tried to make sense of what had just gone on,
but without the pumping blood, all answers seemed wrong.
Then a car clipped my side as I was watching you move,
Could you
