      Introduction

      Why are so many of you not finding love and marriage? This book is written for single women wanting to improve their dating experiences and find a quality man for marriage. It does not matter how old you are because these principals can be applied to all ages and circumstances. I will show you a very effective approach to improving your chances of meeting the man of your dreams. Being a man, I know the male mentality and attitude, and I have a better insight into the way a man thinks, and what motivates him, particularly with regard to women and marriage. This book will explore the reasons women are not connecting with the right man and, more importantly, how you can change your behavior and your thinking to find true love, happiness and marriage. You will not only improve your odds of finding a mate, but also gain useful tools to improve your own life in the process.

      People are single for different reasons. For some it is by choice. For others it is because they cannot connect with the right man, are isolated, in a bad relationship, or suffering from an illness or depression preventing them from being active. The good news is that none these reasons matter. After learning the skills provided in this book, making a commitment to follow the plan, and then marketing yourself, you will be on your amazing journey towards meeting your future husband!

      This book is not designed to snag a man at any cost, as that would be foolish. This book is about taking advantage of all available opportunities and putting your best foot forward. Regardless of how defeated you may be, and no matter how long you have been single, there is hope. The best men out there (depending on your definition) are not the easiest to find. Contrary to what others believe, I do not feel that finding a husband is a numbers game. I believe it is more a matter of making the correct choices in your search and making the most of the opportunities as they come your way.

      How Do I Qualify to Write This Book?

      Aside from being reasonably intelligent, I have spent a lot of my life being single. My career as a marketing director for a national company exposed me to mass marketing, direct marketing, door-to-door sales, magazine advertising, sales conferencing, speeches, radio, and television. I truly believe that one of the keys to success in dating is marketing yourself. I believe people make opinions based on first impressions, and that those impressions are long lasting and very important. The success I achieved in sales can be applied directly to dating. Along the way, I gained tremendous insight into dating and interpersonal relationships, and realized my experiences could be passed on to others in a positive way.

      What Will You learn?

      You will learn to understand and know yourself. This book is only for those who seriously want to improve their dating and attract more marriage-minded men. We will discuss the art of being single, ways to approach men, ways to avoid the wrong men, improving your self-image, setting realistic standards for your potential husband, evaluating yourself, overcoming shyness, obtaining confidence, and learning to get rid of baggage from the past and move forward with your life. I will share with you my insights into the male mindset, which will help you make better choices in dating. I will enlighten you to self-marketing as a vehicle to finding an ideal partner and how to screen your dates effectively in order to budget your time and manage your personal life.

      Is There Male Shortage?

      After the age of 35, there really are fewer single men. In the United States Census of the year 2000, it was reported that there were twenty-eight million single women and only eighteen million single men.

      That is not to say, however, that finding true love is impossible, as there are millions of excellent single men who are also looking for women. The purpose of this book is to help you find one another in a mutually acceptable fashion.

      These statistics are only for reference because finding the tools to actualize your goals is the most important thing in your search. Here are some distribution charts regarding the male and female single status.

      Marketing Is the Key

      Initially, this book was a journal of my own dating experiences. As more and more ideas and words of wisdom were put on the paper, I realized I had really sound principles for making good choices in relationships. This knowledge, combined with my expertise in marketing and some collaboration with other experts, has resulted in this self-help guide. The strategy will motivate you and give you resources to market yourself and avoid the pitfalls of dating that can waste your time, energy and money.
