    Laura Ingalls Wilder was born into a pioneer family in Wisconsin. In her adult life, she wrote books based on her life growing up on the frontier. She is known for her Little House series, which was completed when she was 77 years old. This book is easy for students to read and contains a glossary for unknown words.
