    Prayer for Healing

    §§ Introduction §§

I believe each and every book I write or publish is God-inspired. One day I was thinking about all of the struggles I've been through in life. Over the years, I have spoken with many women who have gone through different things, but just as devastating to them as mine were to me. All of us were looking for answers in one way or another. I believe it was at this point that the Holy Spirit spoke and said that a lot of women are hurting and feel helpless and perhaps even hopeless at this stage in their lives and they are just Waiting to Exhale. You and the co-authors give them permission to exhale by sharing your testimonies in a book and conference.

In Revelations the 12th chapter, it talks about casting out Satan from heaven, but verse 11 shows how—they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony.  Each of us is sharing our stories to set some that have been bound—Free!

We have all had our Job experiences. God allows the seasons of suffering in the lives of those He has called and chosen to positively impact the lives of others. He puts us on display so that people can see the different thing that’s taken place; often mocking, ridiculing, offering their opinions as to why we're going through and what we should do, without realizing these took place so that He could get the glory. Each woman is transparent with one sole purpose—helping women break free!

This book is not full of scriptures and Bible verses, although some are included, but rather the stories of these amazing women. The conference will follow suit with some scriptures and many stories taking place.

    Satan Thrown Out of Heaven

⁷And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, ⁸but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for thema]">[a] in heaven any longer. ⁹So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

¹⁰Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. ¹¹And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. ¹²Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.

    Chapter One

The Greatest Apology of Them All... The One You Owe Yourself

    By: Courtney N. Williams

Imagine that after years of pain and agony, years of being broken THAT PERSON—the one who left you, the one who broke your heart, the one who lied on you or the one who flat out used and mistreated you finally came back and said I’m sorry, or I apologize, for that hurt I caused you, I was wrong. What type of reaction would you have? What type of peace or relief would you feel by THAT PERSON finally acknowledging the hurt that was cause by their action?

What if I told you that while there is healing that comes with a person’s apology, or even healing in your forgiveness of a person even without an apology, however, the most healing, restoration and regaining of peace comes from that overlooked apology to yourself? Yes, that is right. I’ve learned through my journey in life that we tend to focus so much on the external, how we treat others, how we expect or want them to treat us, how we feel when we are not appreciated, that we overlook the importance of how we treat ourselves. The decisions we make (or don’t), the opportunities we miss, what we allow from others, taking care of ourselves physically, mentally, emotionally and financially all have a bearing on our lives.

If any of these aspects I mentioned made you a little uncomfortable, it is safe to say that you may be in dire need of the power in healing through self- forgiveness. Truth is, if we as women do not acknowledge our areas of hurt that we either caused directly or allowed to happen and begin to unpack that box of hurt that has been stored, we are giving the hurt power, when you have the power to overcome.

As we travel through this journey of self- forgiveness, I will share some of my personal testimonies that were achieved through this process. I am not at all insinuating that I have completed this journey, as we know that the act of forgiveness is a process that must be consistently repeated to maintain its power.
