Whiskey 101 - Lisa Anders
Introduction
The world of whiskey can be a harsh, but rewarding one. If you’re new to it, do not expect to love everything your try. Whiskey can be an acquired taste. However, once you begin to understand its complexities and flavors, you will find that it is an extremely rewarding world. The whiskey life-style has often been portrayed as a masculine one; a whiskey in one hand and a cigar in the other. However, times are changing and more and more women are beginning to enjoy this refined drink.
I myself am one of those women. I enjoy a nice smoky whiskey on the rocks at home relaxing or a whiskey sour when I’m out dancing. I find the versatility of whiskey extremely intriguing and have been studying it for quite a while. In this book I’ve composed some basic guidelines to help you learn how to taste whiskey, how to describe it, how to begin building your whiskey collection . I’ve also included a few cocktails you can create with your favorite whiskey. You may not realize it, but whiskey is one of those drinks that can be enjoyed hot or cold; like I said, it is very versatile!
This book will help you begin to navigate your way through all the chaos and help you on your whiskey journey. I’ve written it in a way that beginners can understand what whiskey is all about, but also, so that those who are already somewhat familiar with whiskey, will be able
