Descripción

Kobe Bryant is an American basketball superstar who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers and has a net worth of $220 million. Kobe Bryant was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His father, Joe Bryant, was a former player for the Philadelphia 76ers. His parents named him after the famous beef of Kobe, Japan. Kobe excelled at basketball in high school where he lead his team to their first state championship in 53 years. He was quickly named Gatorade's Men's National Basketball player of the year and the USA Today's All USA first team player. His SAT's score were good enough to get him into many colleges with a scholarship but Kobe opted to go straight to the pros. During his NBA career with the Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant has earned just over $250 million in salary alone. He has earned millions more from endorsements.

Growing up in Italy alongside two athletic older sisters, Shaya and Sharia, Kobe was an avid player of both basketball and soccer. When the family returned to Philadelphia in 1991, Bryant joined the Lower Merion high school basketball team, leading it to the state championships four years in a row. With an eye on the NBA, he also started working out with the 76ers.

Though he boasted good grades and high SAT scores, Bryant decided to go straight to the NBA from high school. In 1996, he was picked by Charlotte in the draft, and was subsequently traded to the Los Angeles Lakers.
