Primera Parte
LEÍ QUE ALDOUS HUXLEY, dijo que el verdadero viajero encuentra que el aburrimiento es más bien agradable que molesto. Es el símbolo de su libertad –su excesiva libertad-. Él acepta su aburrimiento, cuando viene, no como mero principio filosófico sino casi con placer. Yo por ende supuse que la libertad que nos dan los viajes era algo que podía sacarme de mi constante aburrimiento, y con 18 años de edad esa liberación era toda una necesidad que debía satisfacer cuanto antes.
Como estudiante de literatura y francés, dedicaba muy poco tiempo a cosas que atraían a las otras chicas pero que yo creía un tanto superficiales. Para mí la verdadera vida estaba dentro de los libros y la pasión, en la excitación desesperada que me provocaba la poesía. O por lo menos eso es lo que creía antes de viajar como parte de mis estudios a una importante feria del libro en la ciudad de México.
Llegué a la capital del país con emoción, y ya sin tanto aburrimiento. Conocí el Palacio de Bellas Artes en mi primer día en la ciudad, y caminé por ese hermoso centro del Distrito Federal, anonadada por los libros de viejo y el impactante Museo Nacional de Arte de México.
Con mi poco dinero y un deseo fuerte por abalanzarme sobre los nuevos libros a conocer, dediqué gran parte de mi segundo día en la ciudad a recorrer la impresionante Feria del libro en el Palacio de Minería, y a comprar un par de ejemplares.
Fue viendo libros de literatura infantil, álbumes ilustrados para ser precisa, que de forma totalmente inesperada, un extraño se me acercó poco a poco. Como se
