In memoriam…
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the second woman to serve on the Supreme Court, died on September 18th of cancer. This biography reads like a love letter to her, revealing how she spent a lifetime fighting to change the world for women.

Descripción

When Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg took her post, she never asked for fame. Instead she set out to try and make the world a little better, a little more free, and a little more just; the fame was just an outcome of her actions.

But nearly half a century after she took her post, something bizarre happened to this Supreme Court octogenarian: she won the internet. Across America she became a sensation, many of her new fans were people who weren’t even born when Ginsburg established herself as a feminist pioneer. In spite of joining the RBG bandwagon late, people were still getting her face tattooed on themselves, setting her famously searing dissents to music, and paying tribute by making viral videos of her.

Notorious RBG is inspired by the Tumblr that started it all, which even managed to amuse the Justice herself, and is brought to you by its founder and award-winning feminist journalist Irin Carmon. This book is written as more than just a love letter to RBG, as it draws on the accounts of Ginsburg’s family members, close friends, colleagues, clerks, as well as interview with RBG herself.

In a time when the country is still struggling with unfinished business of gender equality and civil rights, RBG stands as a titan, inspiring change and equality for all.
