Our conversation will be an exciting one and it will include ghosties and beasties and things that go bump in the night. Tonight we’re going to be speaking about one of the most horrific cases that the Warrens have ever investigated—the Amityville horror. Ed, can you tell me how you and Lorraine got involved in the Amityville horror?

It was Marvin Scott from the Channel 5 News team. He was the anchorman at the time and he had been involved with a haunting that we had investigated in Bloomfield, New Jersey. This impressed Marvin, so he gave us a ring and he said, We’d like you to come down and see what’s going on in Amityville, Long Island. This was not the Amityville horror case at that time, you understand.
