Lessons From My Twenties is the quintessential compilation of real life experiences of Marquita Bradley as she navigated through life being young, fabulous and full of faith. From relationships to losing a parent, learning to communicate effectively and discovering who you are, this book shares various situations that often aren't discussed among twenty somethings. Marquita hopes that her experiences will help others know they are not alone, that we are all trying to figure out this thing called life, and prayerfully allow others to avoid some of her pitfalls. We must learn to let go of the past, embrace our now and look forward to the amazing future God has in store for us.

This book is dedicated to my incredible parents, the Rev. Jeremiah and Martha Bradley. I will forever be grateful to God for your example, unconditional love, and unwavering support.

Mom, know that I will always cherish the wife, mother, sister, and friend you are. I pray that I am a fourth of the woman you are, as you are my shero. No one can ever replace my Martha Jane. I love you!

Dad, words will never be able to express how much I miss you. I believe you are smiling down on your baby girl. Know that this one is for you. I hope I've made you proud.

God, I thank you for this opportunity to share some of my experiences with the world. You created me for such a time as this and I am grateful for the holy boldness to walk in all you have called me to be. Forever your daughter.

To my bestie Regine, you are the kind of friend everyone needs in their life. Thank you for being the Gayle to my Oprah. This is our year sis!

Thank you to my sister-friend Shakiria Howie! Without you this book would not have gotten completed. Thank you for your support, encouragement, advice, edits, and love throughout this process. I pray it returns to you 100 fold.

Dana Bly, I thank you for turning my thoughts for my book cover into a work of art. You are so gifted and talented! Elton Anderson you went from being a stranger to an instant friend. Thank you for my amazing photos! You are an incredible photographer.

Ariel Jackson I will forever be grateful for our friendship and your sense of fashion! Thanks for pushing me out of my comfort zone. You were right!

Thanks to Karen Abdul, Jennifer Freeman, Donnie Garner, Dacia Lewis, and Claudia Jean-Baptiste for taking the time to read my book in its early stages and give me candid feedback. I LOVE you all!!!

To all of my spiritual mentors, I thank you for your prayers, wisdom, guidance, love and support. I am grateful.

To my biological sisters Farena Bradley and Belicia Reaves, Thank you for your love and support. Bradley girls forever!

To my village of friends, sorors, and family who continue to support all of my endeavors, thank you. I may not have written your name individually, but please know that I value and appreciate you all.
