    The History of Pasta

    In the historical writings of Horace during the 1st century BC, the term lagana was first introduced which referred to fine sheets of dough which were fried and eaten. Many pasta enthusiasts and historians believed that this was the origin of the modern day lasagna although the cooking method used does not correspond to how modern day pasta is cooked. Historians believed that there are many milestones that relate to pasta but nothing comes close to the strings of boiled dough made from semolina and dried before cooking.
