    Acts in Prayer - E. W. Price

    TOO

    PREFACE

This is a manual on how to pray. It is simply a description of how I spend my time daily in prayer.

These truths have been shared with my beloved congregation, the Green Street Baptist Church of High Point, North Carolina. They have also been the basis of morning talks at revival services in several churches.

I regret that I cannot document the source of many of these ideas. They have been developed over a period of years as I have read many excellent books on prayer and I have sought to experience the deeper truths of prayer.

I wish to express appreciation to Mr. Reid Hardin of the Division of Evangelism of the Home Mission Board in Atlanta, Georgia, for his encouragement in the production of this booklet.

I am deeply indebted to Mrs. Sybil Sanders, my most faithful secretary and co-laborer who, through many years, has transformed my scribbling into beautiful manuscripts.

Most of all, I want to acknowledge the warm love and encouragement of my dear wife, Bev. What a privilege to have shared many glorious hours of prayer with her for some thirty-five years.

Or, if it is your will for me to spend the rest of my days in a mental institution, I am ready. I surrender totally and completely to you.

A sweet peace flooded my mind. I realized that God was with me and that he did want me to be his servant. I began
