As Diane’s life has become a day to day journey with Christ; she has found His presence to be very real. As each obstacle faced her head on, God met her at the place, where she sought for His presence, while He comforted her, with words that could ease her aching heart and soul.

    As you read each of the inspirational poems, there is a page of writings that will give you a thought or story, as to how each of the short poems came to be. Some of the poetry dates back, to over twenty years ago...at the time, when the author experienced overwhelming moments of despair.

    As you read, “Words from the Heart: Treasured Moments Spent with God,” you will not only experience the moments, when Diane felt, as if she was in a prison cell of despair and how God set her free but you will also read other poems that pertain to a country road...a place, where Diane could get away from the surgeries and pain and rediscover God. You will also connect to the moments, when Diane felt that she was losing everything in her life, including children and how God allowed her to exchange the heartache, for a new view, of what He longed to do within her life.

    I was raised in a small town in Michigan and was born with a congenital problem in both knees. I went through many surgeries, trying to correct the problem but there was never really a cure. Little did I know, that God had "branded" me at birth, for such a moment as this. Many in this world grow up and go to school or college, to get their education but that's not what God had in store for me. My education for writing, came from twenty-one painful knee surgeries, heartache from sexual abuse as a child, and the loss of many things in my life, including the loss of children. As each painful moment came and as each loving desire left; God was taking all the brokenness in my life, and He was piecing it together, so I could have the heart He desired...a heart that could understand and care, for others who live in despair.
