About this ebook
Survivalists do not survive alone.
Eventually, Survivalists stop scavenging and start producing, or they die.
Living, producing Survivalists with friends are called Libertarians.
When the proverbial excrement hits the air circulation system, you will want to be a survivalist in order to survive the first month or so of the tribulations, and you will want to be a Libertarian to survive the remaining years of your life. We are rapidly coming to a time when people will not tolerate dead weight around, and if you are said dead weight, the only thing between you and a bullet in the head is the price of a bullet. Now let us start the definitions.
Most simply put, a Libertarian is a person who thinks that the most important thing in life is the liberty to do and be whatever you wish, as long as what you do does not interfere with others seeking the same liberties. Libertarians are generally anti large governments, because big governments tend to find big ways to limit freedoms. Libertarians are generally pro-defensive armaments, and anti-offensive armaments. We think that we should eliminate invaders of our home, but we should leave other’s personal affairs personal, and not try to invade others to impose our wills or preferences on others. An exception to this rule would be to defend a friendly country from aggression. Because debt to a creditor binds you, we generally think that people should avoid being in debt, and Nations should always avoid debt.
A Survivalist is a person who believes that there is a coming collapse that he should prepare for, and believes that the way to do this is to put together food, water, weapons and other materials to survive the coming catastrophe. He generally believes that his local neighbors will turn on him to take his stuff, and he should be prepared to do whatever is necessary to survive. If he has the resources, he will possibly purchase some rural retreat to wait out the hard times, and will accumulate whatever survival information he can.
A Survivalist in the 1960s might have just been a ‘conspiracy kook’, but the long anticipated collapse is definitely coming now. If you are trying to survive along- side these people, you would definitely want a Survivalist beside you in the first couple of weeks of the calamity. After that, when you are trying to learn how to milk that cow, build that cabin, till that field and harvest that crop, in the presence of other desperate people, you will definitely want the Libertarian working and living beside you for the remaining years between then and when you finally go to meet that big Libertarian in the sky.
JD Lovil
JD Lovil was born in the small Town (population 795) of Lockesburg in the southwestern Arkansas, in the year of 1957. That was the year of the first canine cosmonaut. Enjoying early life as Farm Hand, Assistant or Slave, he learned just enough about hand labor, mechanics, metalwork, plumbing and electrical work to be dangerous, and far more than he ever wanted to know about many other unpleasant tasks. Enduring the slings and arrows that is childhood, he eventually entered into University life, where he dabbled in biology, Physics and Computer Science before settling on a major in Chemistry. Surviving many fine adventures over the years, and after having been rumored to be an agent for the Arcturian anti-movement movement, the Author has settled into the Phoenix Metro Area in Arizona, where he hopes to avoid life's complications.
