Andrew James Wells

Andrew James Wells, born on 11th September 1975, is an English author originally from the small village of Yarm and now residing in Stockton.Andrew started writing when he was fifteen years of age where he started writing poetry based on life experiences and issues he felt strongly about, these can be seen in his poetry book ‘Past Visions’.Since writing, what is known now as, Past Visions in 1991, Andrew took a huge break before starting again in 2012 with a new writing method and a more mature outlook to his work. Again this poetry was based on his own experiences and issues he felt strongly about, starting with the eBook ‘Shattered Glass Mind’.Andrew has always had a passion of how words, especially accompanied by music, could create a mood, a feeling and a range of emotions, and in some circumstances create a connection between the writer and the reader. Andrew put this into practice with his recent writing, the ability to connect with others and write about issues that affect us all.Andrew is currently working on short stories.

    AGAIN?

    If you've ever been hurt

It takes time to love again

    You feel as you've died

    Your hearts been strangled

    With the veins that surround

    A day of suicide inside

Sunshine could be round the corner

But as you turn the rainclouds follow

You feel as you will never recover

Until the sun shines down on you, again.

    ALONE

    Do you feel alone sometimes?

Feel as you’re separated from everyone

You need to find someone to share

    All your thoughts and dreams

    But when you were together

    And then you get burnt

    You put up your defences

    And close up your heart

    You never seem to recover

But someday you will find a new love

But when does that love come?

    A TEST?

    Someone is testing me,

to see how strong I am

taking away from me the ones I love

    unable to replace them

Some call it god; I call it an illusion in time

I ask myself sometimes, if I’m next in the line

The world is see is decaying in front of me

A chance of life will soon not be.

    AWAY

Trust and friendship are something I treasure

If I receive it, I always give more in return

To be surrounded by people that care for me

From day to day that’s all I will ever need

Someone to tell my secrets and regrets

And to listen to them when they're in need

I will never turn my back upon them

If they ever need me I am always around

The sound of laughter and cheers I crave

Just to see everyone with a happy smile

Images I see I will take to my grave

Always close never a million miles (Away)

    BACK TO WORDS

    Your
