The Boy King and the Fairy Princess
There once was a great and beautiful castle that sat at the edge of an emerald forest. In the castle lived a powerful King and his beautiful Queen.
In the castle there also lived a very lonely young Prince. Though he was surrounded by his father’s subjects, he lived a solitary life. Of all the people in the castle during his whole life there was not a single person of his own age whom he could play with. He would be twenty years old on his next birthday and he had never had a friend.
All day long he would sit at the window looking out at the Emerald Forest. It was so beautiful. There were tall majestic trees that were covered by delicate vines and beautiful green moss. The sheer beauty of it all took his breath away.

One day as he was gazing out of the window the boy King saw a beautiful butterfly as it took flight from one of the many wild flowers that grew in the meadow.
The butterfly flew back and forth seemingly having no intended destination. Then as if planned, the butterfly flew close to the window from where the boy King sat gazing at the forest. It fluttered in front of the window for a moment and then gently landed on the window sill.
The boy King was so amazed he couldn’t take his eyes off its beauty. He put his finger against the pane not realizing he couldn’t touch the butterfly through the glass.
The boy King sat there completely mesmerized. He was afraid to move for fear that the beautiful creature would fly away. He wanted to enjoy this incredible moment for as long as he could.
Then as the Boy King sat
