    Eve's odd nature leaves her without friends and without love. It isn't that she is so different, only that she can visibly see what all others see subconsciously. It isn't easy to get close to people when you know every lie and deceit that they have on their minds. Then she meets a man that seems more decent and honest than anyone she's ever met before. His theories on the energies of life excit her. More so, they explain her. His very soul calls to her. For the first time in her life, Eve is happy...until that morning when she is notified of his death. Traveling too fast, he hits a tree on a lonely country road. The tragedy of his loss weighs heavily on Eve, until she finds his soul is fused with the tree he hit. As days pass she gains hope that she can have him back. But then, under that same tree, the death count climbs. No one can solve the puzzle of the bodies left under the deep red tree. Eve knows but, the truth is too bizarre to believe. You see, having your soul trapped in a tree changes you. When there is no penalty, there is no crime. And so the bodies build, exsanguinated under the crimson canopy of the blood tree. It is not so easy to destroy a tree that does not want to die.
