    Ecuador is a small country by South American requirements, evidence if proof were required that the best things are available in little package deals. Bisected by the equator, one part lying in the southern hemisphere and the other in the northern, it's the smallest of the Andean nations and it is a sort of South America in miniature, a microcosm of every little thing that is phenomenal and attractive about this remarkable continent.

    The Andes array runs through the center of the country, with the greatest peak towering well above 6,000 m (19,685 ft). Still, the nation is full of startling contrasts in scenery and landscape, gloating tropical jungles, windswept highlands, snow-capped volcanoes and palm-fringed oceanfronts. What's even more, all of these are within very easy reach of the capital, Quito.
    Quito itself is one of the vacationer centers of South America. The second highest capital, it gloats a spectacular area and has UNESCO Globe Heritage condition. Smaller sized towns such as Guayaquil, Cuenca, Otavalo and Banos have an even more authentic ambience and a multitude of destinations and explanations to tarry. As you take a trip, look out for attractive colonial architecture, colorful indigenous markets or traditional fiestas and archaeological sites that mean the country's rich history.
    Ecuador has lots of national parks and reserves, and is one of the richest locations for birdlife in the world. The Galapagos are also a world-class wildlife destination, making the nation as a whole ideal for eco-tourists.
    Ideal for bird watching and nature tourism, Ecuador additionally has outstanding diving and snorkeling on offer.
