      This is a book about you, as long as you are not a robotic entity that reads script. You may or may not believe in spirituality; you may be a religious person or an atheist; you may be a man, a woman, a teenager or an elderly person…none of these makes you any less ‘spiritual’. The meditations and exercises that I have described in this book work, irrespective of whether you believe in them or not. In fact, it’s when they work that you start believing.

      Male Body – Owner’s Manual; this was the title of a book I once read in my younger days. It was a good book and had in it every detail about the body. When I was introduced to spirituality later in my life, I found it pretty incredible that while there is tons of information available about physiological well being, there’s almost nothing on the spirit. The lack of knowledge about the spirit is striking, especially because the spirit is infinitely more important than the body. Gone Spiritual is for every person who wants to know more about his or her spirit. It is a guide to spirituality, a handbook, a user’s manual that will help you awaken your spirit and restore it to full health.

      As a human being, each one of us is a combination of body and spirit. The body is material while the spirit is ethereal. Well being is an absurd concept unless you have a healthy spirit. The spirit needs to be fed and taken care of, just like the body; but its requirements are metaphysical in nature. When you satisfy your spiritual needs, the spirit gains energy and starts to perform its functions. The results of this spiritual revival are beyond description and have to be experienced to be understood.

      Having a healthy and clean spirit transforms the way you look at things. A healthy spirit drives you to better choices and a healthier lifestyle. A nourished spirit radiates happiness and tranquility.

      The purpose of spirituality is to seek spiritual reformation as a means to everlasting peace and happiness. Spirituality is not some philosophy or theology; it is not even words, but a practice. True spirituality makes us see beyond the visible and the apparent. It helps us know the Truth about ourselves and everything else. Spirituality doesn’t only reveal the purpose of our existence; it is the purpose why we exist.
