    Memories

A friend of mine suggested that I should write some of my memories down, So,

    Here I start ......

    Fire Footy

When I lived on a Farm many years ago. We made our own fun,the 'made up' games we used to come up with were both Fun and Dangerouse. We were Adults and we would survive, we hoped. One of the games we came up with was 'FIRE FOOTY".

We were LEGENDS in our own lunchbox, playing with fire ...we can do that. Now there was not many rules to this game that we played. No touching the ball with your hands, foot manuvers only.

Our oval was a small padock out the back block of the farm house, the 'oval' was about, 20mtrs by 10mtrs, all overgrown bush stumps and small little bushes dotted all over the place,,,,couple of dips in the ground that were not obviouse till one ran into one,,,doonk,,,,

Now for the Apparel that we wore. Top to Toe. On the head is worn anything at hand that will stay on when one is running flat out and blind drunk, also added bonus if such head gear was fire proof. Welding aprons and glasses were the favourite, fought over the most, first come first serve. Late commers got the pick of Army Great Coat and long winter coats. For the hand were welding gloves, garden gloves, anything that would protect the hands. Leather Bike pants were usually the go for us all because we were all tough BIKIES. If not Two pairs of jeans, never 'track pants,,, poof up in
