Could this awesome act of selfless love from our Savior be the reason that supernatural occurrences have been happening for centuries?

The torn veil is about this author’s personal experiences with the supernatural and her interpretations on why they took place. From a young child hearing voices in the night to near death experiences as angels saved her very life. Out of body experiences that left a major impact on herself and her faith. A face of an angel looking down upon her as she grieved from a death of a child. Visitors to her home that weren’t invited but made their presence very known.

There are many supernatural events that take place in this world by millions of people that can not be explained. This book is the events of the author as she welcomes you the reader into the world of her personal supernatural journey.

The torn veil between us and them - T.L. Moore

    Introduction

I have written all types of books from an adult mystery to a special angel sent by God to help children that are going through major issues in their lives. I have touched on many different subjects, but this book is something that took me years to put together because I have lived it. The experiences I am about to share with you within these pages of this book are real. I am here to point out the very thin veil between the living and the dead. But who is to say when we take our last breath that our journey is over? I believe our journey, our existence continues as we stand before God in Heaven.

From the beginning of time there have been many questions from people around the world about ghosts, spirits, angels and even demons. Many people do not believe in ghosts or even spirits, but for those of us who have witnessed these entities with our own eyes we know they are as real as we are the living.

I am about to take you on the journey of my life and I am going to do this from a Christian point of view. This book is from my heart and my soul as I share with you the many experiences I have had throughout my life with the supernatural. Rather you believe in the supernatural or not, I hope you enjoy my work as the veil between us and them lifts up.

    Chapter One

    The Beginning

I grew up fast as a child from experiences no child should ever have to go through. I learned by the tender age of five what keeping a secret meant. This book however is not about that part of my life, but if the good Lord is willing maybe someday I will sit down and write an autobiography. Let’s just say abuse is something I know all to well about. This book is about my supernatural experiences.

I do however believe the abuse is what led up to seeing through the very thin veil to the other side. Sometimes a dramatic experience opens doors that were not open before.

I do believe that because children are innocent that they do not have the blinders on their eyes like we do. Life changes us as we grow older and we question things that we shouldn’t sometimes. A child is more accepting to seeing a ghost, when an adult isn’t. Animals are also innocent and that is why they can see through that veil when we, the doubting humans so often cannot.

I am in no way saying an adult cannot experience supernatural occurrences because we can. What I am saying is that it is much easier for a child because of their innocents.

There is an advantage to having the blinders that keep us from seeing to the other side. God himself put those blinders there because if we could see all the battles, wars that are going on around us twenty-four hours a day between God’s angels and Satan’s demon’s: we would have a nervous breakdown. I do believe some things were not meant for us to witness with our human eyes. But when the veil was torn I do feel we get a glimpse through to the other side every now and then. I will go into more details about the veil between the two realms and how I believe that it was torn later on in this book.

God protects us, his children from so much and sometimes I do believe he allows us takes a small peek through the veil. That is when we experience things not of this world, things like seeing angels, ghosts, and sometimes even demons. Depending how much we can handle, is how much we are allowed to see.

Not everyone has had these supernatural experiences and if you are one of those people, then you do not understand what I am talking about. It is something you have to experience for yourself to understand. It is kind of like explaining to a man how it feels to give birth, to give life to a baby. That man tries to understand, but there is no way he can ever understand because he has not experienced it for himself. Maybe that is a bad metaphor because a man can never experience the joy of giving birth and if he could; maybe some men would have a whole new found respect toward the opposite sex.

I do believe when someone has an experience from the other side that they have a gift from God. Sometimes an experience is not good and these are not from our Heavenly Father. Unfortunately, there is a downside to seeing through the veil that separates the worlds of the living and the nonliving. Sometimes evil will pass through that veil and those are the things we do not want to experience. Good and evil do exist, just like God and Satan do exist.

When that veil lifts up and you see a ghost or an angel, you will never forget it for all of your days. The experience will leave an everlasting imprint on your very soul and you will see things so very differently. You will realize how temporary this world is that we live in and you will know we are all here just for a short time. In a blink of an eye it will all be said and done. It doesn’t matter what you own or what is in your bank account because when you leave this world you cannot take nothing with you but your very soul.

Turning back the hands of time and thinking as the child I once was is something that is hard to do. I had a very stressful childhood and without God beside me, I wouldn’t have made it through it all. The only person that gave me any sense of a normal life was my granny, Betty Lou Hunt. She was not only my grandmother, but my best friend. I will talk more about this special lady later on in this book. I do however thank God for her, because she was my rock here on Earth, even as a child.

I think that supernatural experiences often run in families. Many of my family members have experienced things not of this world. From my granny to my aunts, uncles and even some of my cousins. My children have started experiencing things at their young age. The last few chapters will be dedicated to some of my family so they can share their stories with all of you.

The older we become as we age, the closer to God we literally get and every day we get closer to the date of our death. I am not thrilled with the subject of death, but I know even Jesus died here on Earth before he rose again. No, we will not rise up from the dead like Christ and walk the Earth, but I do believe sometimes God let’s us return in spirit. There is only one Jesus and he is the only one who has or will ever walk this Earth after death. Now, the only exception to this rule is when Christ died on the cross and the tombs opened and yes, the dead were raised and walked the streets of the city. (More about this below)

Some Christians will raise an eyebrow at this book because they do not believe the dead shall return and I agree with them to a point. The body shall not return, but can the spirit of the person? Sorry, all you zombie game players out there, but there is no such thing as the walking dead. That is pure fiction and only for games and the movies. (That was my attempt at a joke)

I also believe every word that is written in the Bible and I know God’s words are true. Some Christians believe if you have seen a ghost, a spirit it is a trick of the devil, and in some cases this is very true. But, in other cases the proof is in the pudding. I have experienced things both from God and the devil himself.

I also believe that when someone passes away to Heaven that they can return to watch over their loved ones if God allows. I know God says in the bible the dead shall not return, however, my thinking on this is the body dies and the soul lives forever. The soul may be allowed at certain times to pass through that veil back to earth. Someday God will return our souls into our earthly bodies, (Which will be made perfect) but this will not take place until he returns to Earth and raises the dead. 1 Corinthians 15:52. (I write more about this in chapter eighteen.)

When Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose again, he must have torn the veil between us and them. In Matthew 27:51-53, it speaks of the veil being torn in the temple. New living translation: At that moment the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook, rocks split apart and tombs opened. The bodies of many godly men and women who had died were raised from the dead. They left the cemetery after Jesus’ resurrection, went into the holy city of Jerusalem, and appeared to many people.

King James version: And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; and the graves were opened and many bodies of the saints which slept arose and came out of the graves after his resurrection; and went into the holy city and appeared unto many.

No, dead people will not walk the Earth again like the Saints did after Jesus’ resurrection. This was a one time occurrence that took place after Jesus died for our sins. Jesus was the only one powerful enough to rip the veil between us and them on the other side. However, the veil was torn and this is why I believe things of the supernatural realm happen. My belief is that the veil in a sense is like a doorway between this realm and the other side.

I have had first hand experiences with love ones that have crossed over and I will talk more about that later. Some of the things that I will talk about in this book will make some people think I am crazy in the head. Then again I repeat, until you experience it for yourself you will not understand. I have never been to England, but I know it is real and it does exist. Just because I have never seen this place does not mean it isn’t there across the Atlantic Ocean.

If you are a skeptic maybe after reading this book you will have a change of heart and give me the benefit of a doubt. If you are someone who has had a supernatural experience, then you know and understand exactly what I am talking about.

A person must to be careful when seeing a loved one that has passed over because it can be a trick of the devil. God says to test the spirits.

1 John 3:24: Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God, because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

1 Thessalonians 5:21: Prove all things: hold fast to that which is good.

If you are dealing with a so-called ghost or a spirit the only way to know if you are being deceived is to know the word of God (Scripture) and know it well. Test the spirits to see if they are of God, or if you are being deceived by a lying spirit.

I do not claim to have all the answers, especially in an area where the bible is relatively silent. I do know that demons do have the ability to manifest themselves, and manipulate.

I have to point out there is a difference between a ghost and a spirit. Yes, both are people, but a ghost is earthbound and for some unknown reason stays here upon this planet and this is when a haunting takes place. It might be unfinished business they feel they must complete or maybe they refuse to accept they are dead. Now, a spirit is someone who has seen the light, went to Heaven and yes, seen the face of God. A spirit when allowed by the heavenly father travels through the veil to the earthly plain.

I do know this is a very touchy subject here and some Christians are going to slam me, while others with agree with me. I pray to God for forgiveness if I write anything wrong within these pages, but please realize this is just my opinion.

Now let’s get started on my journey as the veil between us and them lifts up.

    Chapter Two

    My First Supernatural Experiences

My family moved from Houston, Texas where I was born to Pasadena, Texas in the year 1973. It was just my mother, Daddy and my younger brother. My mother was big as a barrel pregnant with my baby sister.

We moved into a small house on Hector Street in the middle of Pasadena. This house was three bedrooms, but I bet it wasn’t any bigger than 900 square feet. It was a nice clean place because my mother was a cleaning nut big time. Everything had to be perfect and that included not even wearing shoes in the house. But one thing I can say about my mother is that she always had a hot meal on the table three times a day and we always had clean clothes to wear.

Nothing happened for a few years after moving into the house until I was about seven-years-old. I had the front bedroom to myself because at this time my baby sister was in her crib in my parent’s room at the end of the hallway. My brother had the middle bedroom that was across from the one bathroom in the house.

I remember having twin beds and the room was filled with little girl things: stuffed animals, dolls, books, and my favorite purple lamp that sat on a night stand beside my bed. The lamp that I would only turn on at bedtime would give out a purplish glow that covered the entire room. I smile as I sit here more than thirty years later thinking about that lamp. I loved that lamp with the mushroom shaped shade very much and purple has been my favorite color ever since.

One night I was in my bed wearing my pajamas when I noticed something beside me on the wall. It was a shadow, a very eerie shadow that scared me so much that I hid under my blanket. I peeked out from under the covers and stared at the shadow upon my wall. I didn’t scream for help from my mother, I just lay there staring straight at the shadow.

The shadow looked like a profile of the devil himself and it was about fourteen inches tall. It had a sharp looking nose and on the head was horns and I do recall the shadow was very black. I know all shadows are black, but this particular shadow was deep black. It was very spooky and made me very scared and nervous.

I thought maybe the shadow was being cast from an object in my room. I got up from the bed and walked around picking anything and everything up that I could find. I watched the shadow very closely. No matter what I moved, the shadow remained there as if it was taunting me. Dolls, books, whatnots, but nothing was casting that thing on the wall.

Every night like clockwork that shadow would return and it stayed there unmoving upon my wall. It scared me more each night and the feeling that I wasn’t alone in that room intensified.

I do not know why I never told my parents or my granny about the shadow, but I was a child of many secrets. I kept things inside of me and sometimes I still do that to this very day, unless it is something important and it needs to be told. I have learned from my mistakes as a child that when something bad happens to you, tell someone.

Another thing that happened at this same point and time as the shadow is noises coming from underneath my bed. I would hear thumping sounds and when I would place my head down on the pillow the sounds only got louder. I swallowed the huge lump that had formed in my throat and peeked under the bed. I was relieved that nothing was there that I could see, but I do know something or someone was under that bed.

Every night for months that shadow was there upon the wall filling my room with fright and uneasiness. Now, keep in mind I was a child and overtime I started talking to the shadow as odd as that may sound. I do not recall exactly what I said to it, but I do remember one time just telling it goodnight.

I assume whatever it was or whomever it was on my wall left when the fear that was inside of me left. I was no longer scared of that shadow and overtime in a ghostlike manner it had become normal to me. Once it disappeared, it never returned.

The even stranger thing is that my cousin who lived across the street experienced something very similar. When she was a little girl, she saw a shadow, a very large shadow of the devil on the back of her house while she sat upon her swing. It frightened her so much that she screamed and ran into the house. I found this very ironic because not a living soul knew about the shadow upon my wall.

In the same house on Hector where we lived for more than seven years I had one more supernatural experience. The veil lifted once again as the two worlds became one and I saw or rather heard something from the other side.

Late one night and I do believe this is way after the shadow had vanished from my wall, something took place while I was in bed. I was startled by a voice, a woman’s voice that was calling my name. The voice was calm sounding and kept repeating my name over and over again. I was scared beyond words as I laid there in my bed shaking as my eyes searched around the dimly lit room.

I found the courage to get up from my bed and run toward the bedroom door as the voice continued calling out my name. I thought maybe it was my mama that was calling me, but I knew it didn’t sound like her voice in the least.

I ran out the bedroom and down the dark hallway past my brother’s room toward the master bedroom where my parents slept. The voice continued to callout my name, but even though it frightened me, the voice sounded peaceful.

I hurried into my parent’s room as my heart raced within my chest. I peered through the dark at both my parents asleep in their bed. My daddy was snoring loudly to the point he sounded like a grizzly bear and my mama was sleeping peacefully. I could have woke them up, but once again I kept it to myself.

I turned around and walked up the dark hallway and stopped in front of my brother’s room. My brother without a care in the world was sound asleep. I was the only one awake in the whole house in the middle of the night besides the woman who was calling out my name and wouldn’t stop.

I remember my legs felt like spaghetti strings as I walked up that hallway toward my bedroom. Whoever this woman was kept repeating my name and the more she spoke, the more scared I was becoming. I ran into my bedroom and straight over to my bed and jumped underneath the blanket.

The woman’s voice sounded serene and I didn’t feel threatened at all, but it was just odd and a very scary experience especially for a child. All I knew was that the voice was not coming from anyone that was in the house, anyone that was alive that is.

I closed my eyes and talked to God and asked him to make the voice stop. Right at that very instant, the voice ceased: complete silence.

I thought about it after it happened and I think it was my great-grandmother Nannie. She was my grandmother’s mother who had passed away around the year 1969. I do not have any memory of her whatsoever. At the time of her death I was only about three or four-years-old. I have seen pictures of her and she was very beautiful just like her daughter. (My grandmother) Maybe it was Nannie and if it was she was
