About this audiobook
In this powerful sermon, Thomas Chalmers inspires Christians to remove the snares and tangles of sin—not through legalistic obedience but through the power of a new and greater affection for God. Chalmers reminds God’s saints that as sojourners living in this world, true power over the trials and sins of this life is found only in desiring Jesus Christ.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5John Piper's take on Christian Hedonism populated by the phrase "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him" isn't new, this sermon/lecture is proof. Thomas Chalmers expounds on this by looking at 1 John 2:15 and fleshing out the idea that the best way to rid yourself of the love of the World is to have a greater love - namely the love for God. And it's a quick read!
