Miss Katherine Grant is a lady's companion, one whose number of dishonorable offers (six) greatly outweigh her honorable ones (zero). Now tasked with making certain her charge, Lady Euphemia, does not contract herself to someone inappropriate, she finds herself inexplicably drawn to Mr. Henry Dawkins, the inappropriate gentleman Lady Euphemia wants to charm, who keeps the books at Madame Follette's. The narrator did a really good job, the novella was just not that great. It has too many modern romance themes—it didn’t seem like a historical.

This book checked all the boxes except suspense. You can’t help but smile at some parts. Extra points for an important fact about the male in the bedroom scene. The narrator did a good job of putting us in the story. Heat level pg13 in a progressive home.

I really liked this book! Too short- the characters are so adorable. The hero was very nerdy and bumbling, but passionate. I'm so glad of that; I'm very tired of rakes. They had such good chemistry. Yes, some of the details aren't very regency-appropriate, but they were easy enough to overlook. I reccomend!

Short and sweet! Unusual beta hero which made this novella different and fun. Great listen for an afternoon. Enjoy!

Language is not consistent with the Regency era. Neither are the main characters' conduct.

Being a clumsy person I found it rather endearing would have loved more details. (Not in the bedroom) more descriptions. Loved it anyway.
