This was a very lovely short story. The Valentine family are one of my favorite series. This story really showed that we can often see our imperfections as tragic while I loved ones love those same imperfections and accept them.
And This I Swear was romantic, sexy, and hot AF! Whew chile! Who knew the senior Valentines could get down like that! Leslie and Bridgette Valentine set the standards for Black Love. We definitely found out who the Valentine sons inherited their swagger from. Mr. Leslie ain't no joke! And, Lawd, Ms. Bridgette is a feisty little scrapper! She was ready to give ole girl a two piece and a biscuit behind her man! Ms. Bridgette battled with insecurities about getting older and gaining weight but, Mr. Leslie was so patient with her and reassured her he loved her no matter how many lumps and bumps she had. This was a sweet story and I can't wait for Kyle's.
