Very interesting insight into Val’s fascination with Scotland and how that helps develop her plots and characters.

Not really a biography, but more of an overview of her experiences and use of Scottish cities and landscape to make her books more realistic and engaging. A good 3.5 hour listen.

Brilliant! A great overall perspective on her oevre, the settings that inspired her and the pre-eminent position of Place in that ternary diagram of Place - People - Plot.
