About this audiobook

You might be wondering how you’ll know when your playboy ways are coming to an end. For some it might be an unexpected pregnancy (ahem… you know who), for others it might be finally landing the one woman you’ve always wanted (cough… I won’t mention any names). For me, it was the death of my mentor and the subsequent reading of his will.

The signs were there, they always are. But I didn’t notice them until it was too late, and my demise was complete.

Demise Sign #1 – You find yourself thrust into the land of responsibility and you don’t immediately hightail it out of town.

Demise Sign #2 – Despite being stuck with the world’s biggest Jekyll & Hyde, some sadistic part of you actually enjoys spending time with her.

Demise Sign #3 – Your family suddenly stops wanting to weigh in on every decision in your life.

Demise Sign #4 – Somehow you end up being the voice of reason in your tumultuous partnership.

Demise Sign #5 – You start thinking of other people before yourself.

Demise Sign #6 – You agree to put yourself in the middle of an Alaskan reality TV show that has both of you sleeping in the same tent.

Demise Complete.

90% of the book was really good, but that last 10% at the end felt forced and rushed. Grandma D. Is becoming more of a Plot device than a character.

Really boring. I read the GREEN SERIES FIRST and then the 3 books about the grandchildren wich all were VERY GOOD. the 3.5 first book of this series were akso amazing but the 4th and 5th books are really really BAD

    So repetitive

Denver and Cleo have a hate-to-love relationship. They both get thrown into a situation they never expected to be in so soon and neither expected to have to be stuck to the other.

Both characters have some preconceived notions about each other, but as their story goes on and they start to have to listen to each other, layers start to get peeled and they find that they actually like each other. Cleo puts up a massive front and really isn't the character she makes herself out to be. She's completely different to her mother and her sister as she had a rustic and down-to-earth man like her father. Denver hasn't got time for her spoilt brat tendencies and the tension between them is instant. It isn't until they both realise they're not getting anywhere with the business that they talk like adults.

This was another funny and laugh-out-loud book added to the series. Denver and Cleo grew on me and Cleo had great character development. Adding in the TV series gave the bonus of the one-bed trope which I crave and it added all the right bits of tension where needed.

This was probably my favorite story of the series so far but one thing put a damper on it for me. The H essentially takes the blame for the h running, even though he did nothing wrong. It drives me nuts when this happens.

Other than that, it was a very good story!

I think this is my favourite Bailey book.
However, I have listened to them out of order.
