About this audiobook
After catching her husband in a compromising position, Finley Granger finds herself in a new hell: reentering the dating world. When she moves in with her grandmother, her great-aunt, and their best friend, Finley finds herself surrounded by a trio of well-meaning yet bumbling matchmakers.
In spite of their efforts, Finley only has eyes for one person, and that’s Zeke Masters—the 6’4”, impossibly built, and ridiculously good-looking new man in town. Along with her nether regions, Finley’s journalistic spidey-senses tingle as to why he’s on sabbatical from Seattle. Is he on the lam or escaping a bad breakup? What’s his story?!?!
As Finley finds herself reluctantly drawn to the gorgeous IT guy, she can’t help but wonder: should she indulge in a rebound tryst with the mysterious Zeke, or has she finally met her match?
‘Shelf Awareness’ is a full-length contemporary romantic comedy, can be read as a standalone, and is book #4 in the Green Valley Library series, Green Valley World, Penny Reid Book Universe.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The main problem was the plot, it was just frustrating and unrealistic, if you’re just interested in the romance aspect the main characters are lovely.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Story was good and while it was brave of the author to narrate it as well it would have been better by a professional narrator. I wouldn't have finished it if it hadn't been part of a series.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Well thought through, well written and really funny. Easy 4 stars if the right narrator was chosen. I do recommend it.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The author sounded as if she was over 50, so the voice sounded abrasive for a 29 year old woman. I will check any other smarty pants books and make sure she isn’t reading it

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I loved the idea and the premise of the book, but the pacing felt off. I didn't really get that same zing from the couple. Also, the narration fell flat for me. Very cool that the author narrated her own book, however, the performance was lacking. I stuck it out simply because I can't stand stopping in the middle of a book.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5the story was good but the narrating was awful . Best narrators make you feel it is the actual characters telling you the story . This narrator is just reading and trying . I know it is the author narrating but maybe better to hire someone to narrate.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Characters were fun. Plot was ok. Don't read if you're looking for depth. Cool idea for author to read her own book, but the voice didn't match the character, especially since the story is told in first person. Don't listen to this expecting to hear Chris Brinkley narrating the male perspective. I feel it's deceptive to list him when he only reads the title and the thank you at the end. Boo.
