Pillow Thoughts II: Healing the Heart
    by Courtney Peppernell
When I started this book I didn’t have sky high expectations but I was at least looking for a new and fresh look on Peppernell’s work. The first two chapters were very repetitive and the poems were a lot like her first book. But after getting through the first two chapters it got better. I think this collection could have benefited from being a bit shorter. I still liked the poems. Some of them I didn't feel anything for, but then others hit really deep and in the end I was left with good, hopeful feelings. Overall, I liked it, but it didn't blow me away.
