      Great mixture of plot, romance, and action in such a short package. Makes a great choice for an afternoon read.

      A lot happens in such a short amount of time but the story gets everything across that it needs to portray and I think its sets a nice foundation for the rest of the series.

      Maddie and Fallon have history and I would have loved to have read more of their story before the mating. There's action and chaos with their story and I didn't expect that to happen with it being a novella which I thoroughly enjoyed. I'm dying to read the rest of the series to see what else can happen in this world and gain more of an explanation on the heritage of the different Dragon clans.

      (Fallon & Maddie): a nice little start to the series. This novela gives you an introduction to how the mating process works, from how the human mates are found to something actually different compared to other shifter romances and that's a mate selection process with an element of surprise if the wrong mate is picked. The story was kind of a slow burn with the actual intimacy and the dragon action but when it started it was amazing. I loved it. I loved the mystery of the drama going on with the dragons and the shift of power. The chemistry between Fallon and Maddie was also hard to ignore despite her resistance. Not bad. I can't wait to start the next book.
