About this audiobook

TRIG

Eva Van Buren. Ten years ago, I was this close to getting my hands on that tight little body. Now, she's my physical therapist. I've never forgotten her beauty: blonde hair, amazing sapphire eyes, toned legs . . . and the way she moves, every step turning me on. There's just one little problem with our unexpected reunion. She f*cking hates me. I don't care. Life has given me another shot and I'm not wasting it. While Eva works to get me back on my feet, I'll be doing everything possible to get her off of hers . . . and into my bed.

EVA

Trig Jackson. The most arrogant manwhore on the planet. I don't have time for men-but if I did, he'd be last on my list. I have to stay professional. Which isn't easy when his muscled, tattooed body makes me want to touch him all over . . . especially in places that have nothing to do with his treatment. He hurt me like no one ever has. I have to remember that, dig up the pain from where I buried it, and use it to keep him at bay. I can't trust him. So why do I want to rip his clothes off and give him the most intimate therapy possible?

I love how patient and transparent Trig is but frankly he is too good for Eva’s childish tantrums and overall immature outlook on life.

I am still taken a back on Eva’s “black” best friend. I’m still processing my feelings on the stereotypical “black girl attitude”, this book portrays.

Honestly what was up with the “girl” this and “girl” that, “he has money girl”. While the female narrator put on her best, black home girl voice. I actually could imagine a painted black face on the female narrator.

Yes, it was offensive and stereotypical.

I would not recommend this book not just because the stereotypes but the plot and the story line was immature and slow. The entire plot was driven by a rumor she carried around since she was eighteen and ten years later she is still holding on too something that was never said.

    STUPID AND UNREALISTIC!

This is a very sweet book. However, I did find Eva's character to be oversensitive and irrational. Trig, though a manwhore in the beginning, was very understanding and held a candle for her for years. I was starting to lean towards Trig character than Eva, but that's me.

(Trig & Eva): TRIGGERS: alcohol abuse. I enjoyed the story of Trig and Eva but was saddened that there wasn't much involvement with the MC. After a tryst with a married woman trig finds himself with a bullet wound and a desperate need for physical therapy. Eva has moved back to town recently and is now a physical therapist. She's assigned to Trig's therapy and is not exactly happy. I love that this is a second chance romance. Their backstory is sweet at the start but then as most situations in high school, a mean girl insinuates herself into a budding relationship and all hell breaks loose. I didn't really like the constant back and forth between past and present especially when both characters would tell the same story right up until it splits off into their own thoughts and perceptions. So at times it felt a little repetitive. I loved Trig and his patience with Eva. Eva was a little skittish at first and understandably so. It was a good book.
