misinformed, redundant, ambiguous information. There are better guides. It is not tailored to women's health either. ( I am a marij user, I use it sparingly like any other herb.)

I enjoyed the science but I think the title is misleading. The information provided wasn’t gender specific. I expected it to be more feminine and dainty.

A pretty educative and informative guide for all genders, not just for women really. Its informative, intelligent, and easy to understand, quick, and also thorough. Enough information on the numerous topics it covers.

There are a few topics I wish she (Nikki Furrer) went into more detail about. Primarily the laws (both individually for each state that currently allows medicinal and recreational usage, as well as federal). Also possibly some more background information on what's gotten us to where we are now legally and historically as well as the movements and lobbyists and campaigns that got certain states medicinal and recreational usage/laws passed.

I also would have liked to see a more thorough "cons" or "negatives" list, and side-effects. (And possibly not only for the user, but overall for the area/state, but thats a bit out of the purview of this piece of work.)

Furrer's A Woman's Guide to Cannabis is the perfect introduction to using cannabis for medicinal purposes. Legal medical marijuana is becoming more common and popular, but many older people who have never (or will never admit to having) tried cannabis may be reluctant to do so because they know so little about it. Furrer lays it out simple. First she discusses how and why cannabis acts as it does, with a discussion of THC, CBD, other cannabinoids, and terpenes, all of which help with figuring out what you want and/or need. She covers the difference behind sativa, indica, and hybrid strains, and the benefits and drawbacks of each. Next she discusses the many ways cannabis can be taken. I had no idea there were weed suppositories. I suppose it makes sense. Just… no, son. Hellz no. I was also unfamiliar with transdermal means. Legalities are covered, which cleared up some question I had about how state Vs federal law worked in regards to medical marijuana, and those states that allow adult recreational use as well. Furrer walks prospective users through what to look for in a dispensary, and in a budtender, and offers tips for saving money.***Many thanks to Netgalley/ Random House for providing an ecopy in exchange for a fair and honest review.
