About this audiobook
Chilling human experiments. A radical slaughter. To stop one, will they have to ignore the other?
Vince has saved his childhood friend Saul from the brink of evil. Now it’s time to put an end to the grotesque experimentations of the man who gave them immortality—and the thirst to kill. But when they attack The Spire, radicals with a common enemy thwart their assault with an even stronger strategy for revenge.
After forming a cautious alliance with the charismatic rebel leader, Vince and his companions must sift through the propaganda on each side of the impending battle. To take down the man who transformed them, they may need to play for both teams.
But if Vince and Saul lose the dangerous game, their mission and their eternal lives will end in an instant.
Kings and Crowns is the second book in the Age of End series of dystopian sci-fi novels. If you like imaginative new worlds, intriguing plot twists, and heart-racing action, then you’ll love Chris Yee’s gripping saga.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book series is not one I want to like but I'm committed and I want to know what happens to the protagonists. The reason I feel like it's not really my usual is that I think it's YA on about a 5th or 6th grade level. There's not a lot of nuance, the characters miss obvious things and there's a character used to voice things that would be obvious to an older reader. Also the narrator sounds like he's reading to young readers. Nevertheless as I said, it's pulled me in and I want to see what happens which I give credit to the writer for.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent series, the twists and turns keep me hooked. Great narration too.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Like a 90s JRPG but without the game, the writing would work if it was the vehicle for a video game. Why? Because with a game you'd be focused on the hours of gameplay between scenes. You'd have a reason to forgive the paper think plot and the the stiff dialogue. You'd expect characters to get introduced a little ham fisted so that you can start playing. But your never get up play. You just keep getting more half hearted cut scenes. This doesn't work as a book at all I'm sorry to say.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I think that this series is either very brilliantly written or incredibly not. The word choice is very repetitive and unimaginative. The story is interesting thought.
