About this audiobook

Perfect for fans of Morgan Matson and Jenny Han, this latest from YA contemporary queen Kasie West is an adorable rom-com loosely inspired by Sleepless in Seattle.

Talking to other people isn't Kate Bailey's favorite activity. She'd much rather be out on the lake, soaking up the solitude and sunshine. So when her best friend, Alana, convinces Kate to join their high school's podcast, Kate is not expecting to be chosen as the host. Now she'll have to answer calls and give advice on the air? Impossible.

But to Kate's surprise, she turns out to be pretty good at the hosting gig. Then the podcast gets in a call from an anonymous guy, asking for advice about his unnamed crush. Kate is pretty sure that the caller is gorgeous Diego Martinez, and even surer that the girl in question is Alana. Kate is excited for her friend . . . until Kate herself starts to develop feelings for Diego. Suddenly, Kate finds that while doling out wisdom to others may be easy, asking for help is tougher than it looks, and following your own advice is even harder.

Kasie West's adorable story of secrets, love, and friendship is sure to win over hearts everywhere.

Sweet. Good read for teens - a story of love of family, self and others, of making mistakes, forgiving and even bullying. Highly recommended.

It was hard to get into this one compared to the other works by this author. Midway through it became a binge worthy audiobook.

Typical Kasie West YA romance, but the plot took too long to develop end the ending i felt was rushed.

I really struggled to get into it at first, but the second part of the book was a little bit better. We all knew where it was going but it was a pretty nice ride nonetheless. Not her best work but OK.

cute story with engaing plot and characters. some parts were cliche (not painfully and it is to be expected) and there was often over-description occuring (too much time spent on background actions and movement that didn't add anything to the story. for example i didn't need to know that her mom washed an apple before handing it to her, or that the character "put the car in park" when the original descriptor of "pulling over" was all that was needed). nevertheless I enjoyed the story and was invested in the characters. it's a fun read. the story and quality picked up over the course and I was impressed by the clever plot devices used to push the story but not in a shoehorned way. If you like cheesy romance give it a shot but don't be afraid to skip ahead at some parts (especially the long expository passages at the beginning, a lot of it isn't needed).
